BASEMENT 144 - FAQ
We have a venue capacity of 150 people standing. We currently cater for approximately 40 people seated for dining.

Identification or an invitation must be shown at reception when you arrive after 10pm if you’re attending an event is – no exceptions.
Entry to Basement 144 is free. However, there may be a charge for special events at the venue. These charges will be advertised prior to the event.
We do have an allocated area for coat storage. This facility is only available when the venue is being used for a private hire.
Items checked-in during private events are left solely at the risk of the patron. There is a fee to use cloakroom facilities.
There is street parking near and around the venue. Please check parking restrictions before parking.
The closest stations are: Holloway Road, Highbury & Islington and Drayton Park Station
Children are more than welcome to the restaurant. However, we are limited to guests over the age of 18 after 9pm. We also ask that for safety reasons, under 18’s are accompanied by an adult at all times.

Yes, families are welcome! We can adjust some spice levels on request. After 8pm U16s are not permitted on the premises.
Cancellations can be made up to 24 hours before your booking. For large groups or private hire, different terms may apply – check your booking confirmation or contact us for details.
We offer a carefully curated drinks menu, including mocktails, cocktails, and a small wine list.
Unfortunately as we are on basement level, with no lift system we are not wheelchair accessible. If you have specific access needs, feel free to call ahead.
